About The Position

Requirements

  • Licensed registered nurse
  • 2 years of experience in long term care management

Responsibilities

  • Assume Director of Nursing position when Director of Nursing is unavailable.
  • Direct, evaluate, and supervise all resident care and initiate corrective action as necessary.
  • Coordinate staffing and address emergent issues as needed.
  • Coordinate resident admissions, transfers, and discharges, and communicate with discharge coordinators and social service consultants.
  • Establish good public relations with hospital discharge coordinators and social service consultants.
  • Act as a Charge Nurse and cover the floor/various shifts as needed for the best interest of the facility.
