About The Position

At a Glance Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a RMA Coordinator I to join the Data Center Power & Control Division Team in Reno, NV. The RMA Coordinator I will perform basic and routine inspection and dispositioning for products under the Return Credit RMA process. As secondary responsibilities the RMA Coordinator I will perform basic and routine inspections of products manufactured and processed through Quality Control Inspection, to ensure compliance with engineering specifications. RMA Coordinator I will conduct other QCI activities as needed included but not limited to Out-of-Box Inspection (OOB). This position ensures that all assigned duties are performed quickly, efficiently, and according to the established departmental and company policies, procedures, and goals. The Quality Assurance Inspector, as with all members of the Legrand Team, is expected to promote a positive attitude, demonstrate initiative, professionalism, personal awareness, integrity, and exercise confidentiality.

Requirements

  • Associates degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least one year of experience and knowledge of PDU products and Legrand quality standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret orthographic drawings.
  • Familiar with mechanical measurement equipment and tooling.
  • Ability to understand and apply the elements of corrective and preventive actions.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills with the ability to provide information across multiple groups.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to resolve problems involving several variables in standardized situations.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Computer proficient with knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word/Excel/Outlook).
  • Read and understand BOMS, Wiring, and Layout diagrams for use in product build verification.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity of ISO 9000 standards and audit process preferred.
  • Familiarity with SAP software is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Independently perform routine tasks to inspect and disposition products under the Return Credit RMA process.
  • Coordinates and communicates RMA progress and discrepancies to necessary parties.
  • Perform tests on products to determine approval or rejection and writes reports of examinations.
  • Identify and disposition non-conforming parts, assemblies, and finished goods products.
  • Troubleshoot and isolate physical and functional product defects.
  • Perform work in a safe manner. Report repairs or safety concerns to management.
  • Maintain compliance with all ISO regulations and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
