The CRA Strategy & Program Management (S&PM) team partners with lines of business across the enterprise to sustain Capital One’s longstanding Outstanding CRA performance. We maintain high data quality and control standards, and develop and support effective strategies with each applicable business. Most importantly, we manage CRA examinations by showing the bank examiners how Capital One effectively responds to the lending, investment, and service needs of the communities where we do business. We convey Capital One's comprehensive and durable approach to improving the financial well-being of low- and moderate-income people and neighborhoods. Within CRA S&PM, the Community Development (CD) Qualification team is looking for a self-starting associate to play a critical role in support of the company’s efforts to continue our track record of outstanding CRA performance. Be the brains behind the scenes to move community development projects and data-related initiatives forward and help us meet our CRA objectives. Utilize your keen eye for detail to review data, research details, while using your ability to use judgment and make decisions. In addition to digging in the data, this position will allow you to partner and engage with other team members to collaboratively clarify data points to accurately and effectively report findings. Like piecing together a puzzle, this role will allow you to find the details and put them together to tell a very important and compelling Capital One CRA story. Requirements

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, oral and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to effectively prioritize
  • Very strong attention to detail with the ability to focus on data and quality control
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, perform and influence others in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated ability to research and interpret data from various sources
  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent certification
  • At least 1 year of experience using GSuites or Microsoft Office

Nice To Haves

  • At least 2 years of experience in compliance, auditing, document review, or a combination of these
  • At least 2 years of experience in the Community Reinvestment ACT (CRA) field including Community Development data validation
  • At least 1 year of experience working on a regulatory, legal, or risk team
  • Basic understanding of modern data infrastructure and tools, Agile methodologies and AI

Responsibilities

  • Collect documentation, analyze information and qualify/validate CD activities
  • Utilize data management/workflow systems to ensure data integrity of CD activities
  • Support quality assurance/audit reviews to ensure data integrity and process consistency
  • Develop and/or maintain formal process documentation including job aids and other procedural documents
  • Assist in gathering data and preparing for CRA examinations, internal audits and controls testing
  • Participate in and execute special projects and effectively manage assigned deliverables
  • Identify opportunities and actively engage in efforts that improve or streamline qualification processes
  • Act as subject matter expert and provide consulting or advisory services to business or internal partners on an as needed basis
  • Provide assistance and actively participate in technology-related projects and other initiatives related to regulatory compliance
