The Risk Manager is responsible for gathering, analyzing and managing risk management data, and preparing reports to management and outside agencies as required. This role participates in the review, investigation and evaluation of actual and potential claims. The Risk Manager serves as a resource to staff and management by participating in committee meetings and safety initiatives. They are responsible for risk management activities including administering the risk management program on a day-to-day basis, and conducting risk management education. The position participates in formulating policy and/or organizational changes, but must seek advice and approval from higher authority.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Risk Management, or related field
  • 5 years of experience in a hospital or other healthcare setting
  • RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure
  • If RN, current license in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License
