About The Position

Supporting the Risk Manager, The Clinical Risk Management Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day administration of the facility’s risk management and patient safety programs. This role involves systematically investigating clinical incidents, participates in Preliminary Review Huddles (PRH), Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and Situation Calls, assists with compliance of a Patient Right Joint Commission standards, LeapFrog section on informed consent, federal and state laws, work directly with frontline staff to provide outreach on concepts of risk management and patient safety, lead daily efforts to conduct high risk rounding to ensure patient and staff safety. Supports the Mission of Frederick Health and complies with the hospital’s Code of Conduct and Standards of Behavior.

Requirements

  • AA Degree in nursing, RN required, BSN preferred
  • 5 years of experience in healthcare setting
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of healthcare regulatory knowledge
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and Electronic Medical Record (EMR) Systems
  • Experience in developing and carrying out training and education of staff
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality, act independently and uphold ethical standards

Nice To Haves

  • Risk Management or related experience and data analysis experience preferred.
  • Experience using data analysis tools (Tableau, Power BI) preferred.
