About The Position

Willingness to develop and mentor FSA Tribal Members within your department. Portray a positive attitude under all circumstances, understand and represent the core values of Apache Casino Hotel and live the mission of always providing exceptional service. Patrol the casino property and parking lot, provide timely assistance and service and prepare weekly and monthly reports of any and all safety or risk assessments. Use knowledge of applicable regulations, laws, internal policies/procedures, and internal control protocols to ensure compliance. Conduct property internal investigations involving team members or customer-related activities and incidents, preparing reports as required, including follow-up to criminal reports when necessary. Investigate team member safety issues and make recommendations to Compliance Manager. Develop, implement and coordinate safety groups. Plan and coordinate drills within ACH property to maintain training. Develop and present new employee orientation and Leadership Development Training. Develop and deliver safety training for all Fort Sill Apache property’s team members. Analyze incident data and recommend solutions to reduce the frequency and severity of incidents. Develop and maintain Emergency Action Plan for all Fort Sill Apache properties. Identify incident causes and offer remedies as to how the accidents can be prevented in the future. Understand and comply with the Eye-Hi-Goodbye program. Work with key decision makers and team leaders to identify areas of learning and development of soft skills and technical skills. Develop curriculum organically through third party resources delivering training to employees across the organization. Maintain liaisons with outside organizations, such as fire departments, mutual aid societies, and rescue teams, so that emergency responses can be facilitated. Inspect facilities, machinery, and safety equipment to identify and correct potential hazards, and to ensure safety regulation compliance for all Fort Sill Apache properties. Conduct or coordinate team member training in areas such as safety laws and regulations, hazardous condition monitoring, and use of safety equipment. Must adhere to the policies and procedures of Apache Casino Hotel. Adhere to and act in accordance with all casino policies and procedures, and applicable federal, state, and local regulations. Enforce preventative measures for all safety issues on ACH property and work with other Department management to maintain safety measures for remaining properties. Oversee all Workers Comp claims for Fort Sill Apache Properties. Maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Fort Sill Apache Gaming License. Must have a valid driver’s license and be insurable through the Apache Casino Hotel company policy. Regular attendance is required. All other duties as assigned. The Safety/Risk Management Coordinator monitors operations to eliminate hazardous activities or situations. Develops policies to promote occupational health and safety awareness. Focuses on prevention and needs to be diligent and analytical. Supports the creation of a healthy and safe workplace for all Fort Sill Apache Properties.

Requirements

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a State Gaming License and Driver’s License.
  • Must be insurable on company vehicle insurance.
  • Must have or be able to obtain CPR Training Certification.
  • Must have the ability to read, understand, and interpret documents such as safety rules and regulations, operating/maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals
  • Write reports and correspondence and speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field and at least 6 years of experience in Risk and Safety and 5 years’ experience designing and presenting training programs or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA standards, first aid, and CPR
