The Risk Management Assistant will be responsible for reporting information to the Worker’s Compensation Carrier, providing Certificates of Insurance and loss runs to clients, and supporting the underwriting, environmental health & safety (EH&S), and claims functions within DecisionHR. This role also involves managing client terminations, sending out related letters and notifications, updating the insurance carrier database, creating weekly termination reports, coordinating and administering yearly OSHA 300 & 300A logs, and handling the yearly renewal of new client packets.

Requirements

  • Analytical abilities, accuracy, and confidentiality in the various reporting activities and communicating with various individuals and organizations.
  • Experience in the insurance industry.
  • High School diploma/ GED is required.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Document information only on accidents and process the First Report to the insurance company electronically.
  • Keep clients stocked with all necessary updated Risk Management forms and posters.
  • Answer any questions that clients may have regarding their policies.
  • Add new clients and terminate clients as requested for Worker’s Compensation Coverage.
  • Send letters and notifications to clients of such actions.
  • Attend weekly meetings with payroll, accounting, and the Director of Risk Management to discuss client terminations.
  • Provide Certificates of Insurance to certificate holders and interested parties.
  • Issue a canceled Certificate of Insurance to all existing certificate holders of a client upon termination.
  • Provide a Loss Run Report to current and former clients upon request.
  • Verify accuracy and update monthly reports.
  • May collaborate with the Director of EH&S to ensure the scheduling and follow-up of 3rd party loss control vendors (Alexander & Schmidt, G & W Inspections, RSH Services, etc.) for remote client EH&S visits in accordance with DecisionHR procedures.
  • Create termination reports.
  • Administer and coordinate yearly OSHA logs.
  • Administer yearly renewal.
  • Prepare new client packets.
  • Occasionally support pre-underwriting information gathering.
  • Other duties as assigned.
