About The Position

This position reports directly to the Director of Risk Management & Insurance and provides support in managing general liability, auto and property insurance. The role also provides financial support to ensure accurate and properly maintained program records. Additionally, the position serves as the primary liaison between the Director, the insurance broker, the third‑party administrator, and internal CSU departments. https://rmi.colostate.edu/

Requirements

  • Experience: Five (5) years of relevant experience in that included tasks similar to this role, and to have included financial analysis, budget oversight, and/or accounting experience.
  • Education and Experience: A combination of related education and/or relevant experience in an occupation related to the work assigned, equal to five (5) years
  • Pre-employment Criminal Background Check (required for new hires)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in risk management, insurance, compliance, legal or a related administrative field.
  • ARM, CPCU or similar designation preferred.
  • Familiarity with insurance processes such as policy administration, all lines insurance renewals, data management and claims handling.
  • Experience working with RMIS platforms, enterprise systems, workflow tools, financial systems, or similar administrative platforms.
  • Ability to review and interpret documents such as contracts, agreements, or policies.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain accurate records.
  • Proficiency with common software applications such as Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook).

Responsibilities

  • Risk Management & Insurance Program renewals and claims management
  • Manage CSU's drone and equipment insurance & claims
  • Manage CSU's out of state auto schedule & auto claims
  • Assist with Property Insurance Program
  • Assist with Kuali actions, budget and general office support
  • Oversee and provide Certificates of Insurance & contract review
  • Other duties as assigned.
