About The Position

The Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) has a career opportunity within the Rural Health Transformation Program (RHTP). This position manages financial and contractual components of the RHTP; oversees preparation, review disbursement, and administration of grants and contracts to ensure compliance with State and Federal regulations; coordinates with external partners and vendors; tracks expenditures, monitors budgets, and prepares fiscal reports; provides technical assistance to subrecipients on grant requirements and documentation standards. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, public administration or related field.
  • Three years of experience in grants management, finance, contract administration, or related fields.
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in rural-health programs or federally funded health initiatives preferred.
  • Knowledge of CMS funding programs, clinic/hospital operations, telehealth, or rural workforce issues.
  • Ability to manage complex grant portfolios.
