What is The Role We are seeking a Proposal Manager to join our Proposal Management Team! This role will collaborate closely with the USPS and AMER account teams to generate responses for Requests for Proposal (RFPs), Requests for Information (RFIs)—collectively referred to as RFx—and vendor-solicited questionnaires necessary for onboarding and renewal processes.

Requirements

  • Experience leading and working with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across teams and with external partners.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools and other sales enablement platforms (e.g., Salesforce, AppSheet).
  • Familiarity with response tools used at Elastic, such as Seismic and Google Workspace (Sheets, Slides, Documents).
  • Knowledge of Elastic’s solutions and an understanding of RFPs.

Responsibilities

  • Project Management: Organize requirements, align stakeholders, and lead the sales process of responding to RFx projects.
  • Alignment with Capture Management: Synchronize with USPS capture management team and AMER sales teams to shape account opportunities for the sales field.
  • External Collaboration: Assist/Integrate Elastic partner channels in developing joint RFx responses as required.
  • Enablement: Develop comprehensive responses to RFPs with clear expectations outlined by the supported sales teams.
  • Sales Plays: Integrate Elastic Sales plays into RFx responses as applicable to the overall strategy and use case.
  • Operational Support: Lead operational tasks by collaborating with all relevant Elastic stakeholders.
  • Cross-Team Liaison: Act as a communication bridge across internal teams (account executives, solutions architects, product managers, legal representatives, professional services representatives, etc.) to ensure alignment and timely support.
  • Reporting: Provide management with weekly reports of completed and ongoing projects, and request support as required.
