Provide expert guidance on the tax treatment of long-term incentive (LTI) awards—including RSUs, qualified and non‑qualified stock options, performance shares, employee share purchase plans, SARs, and cash/phantom plans—across grant, vest, exercise, sale, and dividend equivalents. Advise on mobility taxation for LTI awards whenever employees cross taxing borders—including between countries, states, or other jurisdictions—covering sourcing/apportionment of gains, double tax relief, treaty analysis, social security/totalization, and shadow payroll. Design and review withholding, reporting, and year‑end processes with the client's relevant teams to ensure compliance across all jurisdictions. Manage election considerations globally (i.e., tax elections applicable in multiple countries) and ensure processes align with local and international requirements. Use knowledge of corporate tax and accounting implications (e.g., deductibility, recharges, transfer pricing, IFRS 2/ASC 718) to flag potential issues and advise when to involve specialist teams—without performing legal, accounting, or corporate tax work. Serve as engagement lead for a portfolio of multinational clients—owning scope, quality, timelines, and budgets. Translate complex technical topics into clear, actionable guidance for stakeholders at all levels—from HR, Payroll, and Mobility teams to senior leadership and Compensation Committees. Develop materials and recommendations tailored to diverse audiences to ensure understanding and alignment across the organization. Train, coach, and mentor junior team members, providing technical guidance, feedback, and support for professional development. Review work for quality and accuracy, fostering a collaborative, inclusive team culture. Support business development through solutioning, proposals, and thought leadership.
