About The Position

The Revenue Manager will play a key role in overseeing the end-to-end revenue cycle and ensuring compliance with revenue recognition standards under US GAAP. This position focuses on optimizing revenue processes, enhancing system efficiency, and supporting cross-functional teams across finance, sales, and operations. The role requires strong technical accounting expertise, experience with complex multi-element revenue arrangements, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-growing, remote-first environment. The Revenue Manager will contribute to process automation, data-driven decision-making, and scalable solutions that drive business growth. The position offers a collaborative and supportive environment, with opportunities to impact strategic initiatives, lead projects, and improve operational workflows. Remote work is fully supported, with periodic in-person collaboration for team alignment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a relevant field; MBA or Master’s degree is a plus.
  • CPA certification or active progress toward CPA is strongly preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including revenue recognition and revenue accounting.
  • Experience in a public company environment with familiarity in SOX compliance and SEC reporting.
  • Strong understanding of ASC 606 and other relevant accounting standards for subscription, hardware, and advertising revenue streams.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of articulating complex technical accounting matters clearly.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize workloads, and collaborate effectively across remote teams.

Responsibilities

  • Execute accurate and timely revenue close processes, including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and variance analysis for revenue-related accounts.
  • Prepare revenue recognition assessments for complex contracts, applying ASC 606 guidance on performance obligations, variable consideration, and contract modifications.
  • Serve as a technical resource to provide revenue expertise to cross-functional teams including sales, product, and operations.
  • Prepare revenue KPIs, analysis, and metrics to support management decision-making, identify trends, and investigate variances.
  • Design, implement, and maintain internal controls in accordance with SOX compliance and public company reporting requirements.
  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors to ensure smooth quarterly and year-end review processes.
  • Lead process creation and system implementation related to new product offerings, ensuring scalable revenue operations.
  • Drive automation and process enhancements, including exploring AI-driven solutions to support growth and efficiency.
