Denver Arts & Venues (DAV) is the City and County of Denver agency responsible for overseeing Denver Public Art. We are seeking a Revenue and Development Partner Senior (Ticketing Operations) who will Administer and leads the work of a team to address complex, large-scale business development programs where significant regulatory and technical ability is needed. Ensures programs operate in compliance with departmental objectives, pertinent laws, rules, and regulations of city employees or contractors. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Three (3) years of experience in professional sales, business development, account management, or related work.
  • One (1) year of the appropriate type and level of experience may be substituted for each required year of post-high school education.
  • Additional appropriate education may be substituted for the minimum experience requirements.

  • Strategic and detail-oriented professional experience with strong business development and analytical skills.
  • Confidence managing complex ticketing operations, pricing/scaling strategies, contracts, and financial tracking with accuracy.
  • Experience building strong relationships, effectively partnering with promoters, contractors, venue staff, leadership, and external stakeholders.
  • Experience in professional sales, account management, or revenue generation within a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.
  • Skills in interpreting financial and operational data to identify growth opportunities and inform strategic decisions.
  • Ability to provide calm and solution-focused service in high-pressure, live event environments.
  • Knowledge of industry trends in live entertainment, events, or venue operations.
  • A commitment to equity, inclusion, professionalism, and public service within a municipal setting.

Responsibilities

  • Onboard and orient new contractors to city programs.
  • Educate and assist contractors with city fees, taxes, ticketing policies, procedures, and functionality of software platforms.
  • Oversee show information in ticketing software.
  • Develop scaling for each event based on market and related to artist and venue location.
  • Configures fees, taxes, and delivers methods based on venue, client type, and event setup.
  • Perform work by planning, developing, designing, coordinating, and monitoring a variety of ticketing operations related to event on-sale through event operation and settlement.
  • Manage ticket holds for each event.
  • Process ticket orders for artist management, record label, and internal buys.
  • Prepare and distribute daily ticket counts for staff, departments, and offices at the venue.
  • Serve as an on-site contact and oversees coordination and execution of operational elements including, but not limited to box office operations, customer service, technology application and product resolution.
  • Serve as a liaison between internal and external departments to ensure contract fulfillment.
  • Communicates with a wide range of city staff and management, contractors, business groups, and the public to share information and resolve problems or issues.
  • Establish, identify, plan, and monitor significant sales for new or established business development lines of business or channels.
  • Utilizes data analytics to identify growth opportunities for sales and marketing initiatives.
  • Provides market intelligence on current conditions and prepares a variety of analytical and operational reports.
  • Track industry trends related to program areas.
  • Conducts analysis of complex financial and operational data, which may lead to controversial or unprecedented recommendations or outcomes.
  • Prepares and presents these outcomes and recommendations to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Build new contacts and create a network within the specific industry of ability, take part in related associations, and cultivate relationships with other industry professionals outside of the city that feeds business development or performance, both within and outside the organization
