Join UChicago Medicine as a Revenue Cycle Trainer in our Burr Ridge office. HYBRID REMOTE OPPORTUNITY Job Summary The Revenue Cycle Principal Trainer partners with other trainers and managers to provide training programs for users of the electronic health record (EHR) system and other third-party systems. The primary focus will be on one or more of the following Epic Modules; Hospital Billing, Professional Billing and/or Prelude and will include training system build and maintenance. The trainer will participate in workflow design to gain in-depth knowledge of operational needs and ensure the system design supports optimal user workflows. Identifies improvement opportunities and develops curriculum and training plans to support change. Promotes a climate that encourages learning and self-motivation through the application of principles of adult learning. Essential Job Functions Deliver system training to all revenue cycle end-users and new hires; Present information verbally and in writing/digital media in a clear and easy to understand manner. Accurately track end user attendance, course completion, and testing in the Learning Management System (LMS). Collaborate with analysts, trainers, operational leaders and front-line staff to design, develop and enhance training materials and curriculum. Ensure consistent and up-to-date content exists in all training media, materials and instructor-led training. Research and apply Epic recommendations, workflows and new functionality. Develop competencies to measure knowledge, aptitude and skill. Create visionary curricula for end users; be forward thinking for approaches to adult education. Administer proficiency assessments and class evaluations for continuous improvement. Build and maintain EHR training environments and manage training-related requests/tickets to ensure prompt resolution of reported issues and service requests Performs other duties as assigned
