POSITION: Revenue Cycle Specialist II Job purpose: This position is responsible for benefits verification, explanation of benefits, collection, denial resolution and posting accounts to minimize aged receivables. This position also administers coverage plan setups, write offs, 270/271 process, and provides technical assistance to staff. This is a lead position for all commercial, Medicare and Medicaid billing.

Requirements

Associate’s degree in accounting or business-related field preferred; or High School Diploma with four (4) years’ experience required, preferably in health care accounts receivable setting.
Must have ability to identify problems and provide suggestions for problem resolution in order to improve processes and/or work flow.
Must have good understanding of basic accounting principles.
Basic knowledge of CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10, DSM, with basic charge and payment posting systems.
Working knowledge of Windows based computer applications to include Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, and Internet access.
Ability to operate standard office equipment including computer keyboard, calculator, copy machine, fax and multi-line telephone.
Interpersonal and communication skills to develop and maintain effective working relationships with all internal and external customers.
Ability to organize and prioritize workload in a sometimes hectic environment with frequent interruptions.
