About The Position

The ideal candidate should have revenue cycle experience in a large vision care practice. Must have the ability to work independently and be highly accountable for meeting the needs of the patients and the rest of the team. Expected to juggle competing priorities to bring patient accounts to closure and working with various departments and team members.

Requirements

• High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
• Three years of relevant revenue cycle experience
• Extensive organizational skills
• Optometry and/or Ophthalmology office experience
• Experience with Microsoft platforms
• Patient experience focused

Nice To Haves

• Eyefinity/Acuity experience
• Professional revenue cycle experience in a high growth environment

Responsibilities

• Assist in all aspects of Insurance billing
• Review of patient accounts
• Patient phone calls
• Special projects across the company of 40+ Locations
• Communication with multiple departments and root cause analysis of patient issues
• Perform collection actions, including third-party appeals and resubmitting claims to third party payers
• Identify and bill secondary or tertiary insurances
• Reconcile carrier submissions, scrubbing of claims, edits, and rejection reports
• Professionalism in dealing with insurance companies/patients regarding accounts in verbal and written communication
• Performs all other duties as assigned
