Job Scope The Returns Specialist is responsible for quality inspection, accurate inventory transactions, and the efficient handling of field inventory returns and customer complaints. In charge of quality inspection, accurate billing and replenishment document generation, and efficient handling of Loaner system returns. Communicates with internal departments to resolve issues and ensure accurate transactions. Navigates ERP and other software systems to accurately enter data and produce reports. Follows complex, established procedures, and effectively communicates both verbally and in writing.

Requirements

  • High School diploma required; Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • One-2 years of prior customer service experience required.
  • Highly detail-oriented with strong focus on quality assurance.
  • Strong verbal, written and telephone communication skills supported by strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment - maintain composure and meet daily deadlines.
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task and manage time efficiently.
  • Strong problem solver with the ability to adapt to unexpected situations.
  • Computer literacy with a good working knowledge of MS Office Suite required (Excel, Word, and Outlook).
  • Ability to read, write and speak English fluently.
  • Ability to contribute as a team member at a high level.
  • Successful completion of Acumed Sales Rep Product Training Level 100 preferred, dependent on course availability.

Responsibilities

  • Visually inspect, assign dispositions, and accurately transact returned product in the ERP system following strict department quality standards and procedures.
  • Generate accurate billing and replenishment documentation for Loaners by performing quality inspections and inventory transactions on returned systems.
  • Appropriately identifies and handles bio-hazardous material by cleaning and/or disposing of them in proper containers.
  • Facilitate discussions with internal departments to ensure issue resolution and accurate inventory transactions.
  • Performs preventive maintenance procedures on equipment and tools to keep the department in compliance with company standards.
  • Understand all department metrics and goals to support and participate in process improvements.
  • Builds strong relationships with vendors to ensure quality and cost effectiveness of goods and services.
  • Create purchase orders for supplies and services as needed.
  • Cross-train within other areas of Logistics on an as needed basis.
  • Successfully completes Acumed Sales Rep Product Training Level 100 within first year.
