True Brands is currently seeking an on-site Returns Processing Specialist to provide operational support at our Indianapolis distribution center. The Returns Processing Specialist is responsible for managing product returns from receipt through system entry and disposition. This role ensures returned items are accurately received, inspected, and entered into the system, allowing inventory to be properly routed, restocked, or disposed of in a timely manner. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse or operations environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1–3 years of experience in warehouse operations, returns processing, inventory control, or a related role.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately enter data.
  • Comfortable working with inventory systems or ERP software (NetSuite experience preferred).
  • Basic computer skills including email and spreadsheet usage.
  • Ability to follow processes, prioritize tasks, and work independently.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience processing customer returns or reverse logistics.
  • Familiarity with warehouse documentation (RMAs, packing slips, BOLs).
  • Knowledge of inventory management and bin/location tracking.
  • Experience working in a distribution or fulfillment environment.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, open, and inspect returned products for accuracy and condition.
  • Verify returned items against return authorizations and supporting documentation.
  • Accurately enter return transactions into the inventory/ERP system (e.g., NetSuite, Deposco).
  • Assign or confirm bin locations and prepare items for restock or disposal.
  • Identify discrepancies such as incorrect items, shortages, overages, or damaged goods and escalate as needed.
  • Label returned items and coordinate proper putaway within the warehouse.
  • Maintain accurate records related to returns, credits, and inventory adjustments.
  • Communicate with customer service, warehouse, sales, and inventory teams regarding return status and exceptions.
  • Follow established procedures to ensure compliance with company policies and inventory controls.
  • Support cycle counts, audits, and inventory accuracy initiatives as needed.
  • Keep work areas organized and follow safety and cleanliness standards.
