About The Position

The Returns Clerk is a key, cross-functional role that keeps product moving efficiently throughout the warehouse while also supporting our customers and internal teams. This position works closely with our sales, purchasing, and receiving teams to manage customer and vendor returns, ensure accurate processing, and maintain smooth operations. While customers and returns are the primary focus, the Returns Clerk is also expected to support other teams as needed.

  • Familiarity/basic knowledge of Acumatica Software

Responsibilities

  • Customer Support Respond to customer emails and phone calls related to returns and orders
  • Route customers to the appropriate team when needed
  • Assist with creating labels for customer return shipments
  • Customer Returns Process daily customer returns received at the front door
  • Receive, inspect, and sort returned products to determine next steps
  • Create credits and return shipments for customer returns
  • Verify, label, and return inspected products to inventory when applicable
  • Sort and label failed inspections for return to vendors when applicable
  • Vendor Returns Process daily vendor returns from the receiving team and customer returns
  • Inspect and verify products on the returns shelf to ensure accurate order numbers
  • Confirm customer return details before submission to vendors
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with vendors regarding returns
  • Coordinate with the other teams when additional vendor details are required for returns
  • Create and process return receipts for international and domestic vendor returns
  • Other tasks Create and process repair order credits as needed
  • Create and process credit corrections as needed
  • Assist with label creation for returns as needed
  • Assist other departments with basic tasks as needed
  • Scrap and recycle products according to vendor instructions
  • Track and manage lost and damaged package claims as needed
