We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Returns Associate to join our team, specializing in returns management. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting in the process of returned products, ensuring accurate tracking, efficient handling, and timely resolution. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of inventory control principles, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is a plus.
  • 2+ years of experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in inventory control or similar roles, with a focus on returns management preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and identify trends.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to accuracy and thoroughness.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate across teams.
  • Knowledge of supply chain processes and logistics is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the entire returns process, encompassing receiving, inspecting, documenting, and processing returned items.
  • Physically preparing products to be returned to a vendor and completing vendor claim paperwork.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of returned products to determine their condition and eligibility for resale or disposal.
  • Update inventory records accurately to reflect returned items and ensure inventory levels are maintained through managing return reports.
  • Collaborate with customer service teams to address customer concerns.
  • Assist with maintaining and tracking the return process on a shared Excel spreadsheet.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and vendors regarding return authorizations, replacements, or credits.
  • Maintain a clean and organized returns area, ensuring efficient workflow and safety protocols are followed.
  • Assist the inventory control department with physical inventory counts and audits to reconcile discrepancies/ensure data accuracy.
