Retail Pharmacy Technician
About The Position
Position Purpose: Retail Pharmacy Technician, within the scope of the Ohio Administrative Code, will provide timely, accurate, cost effective, and patient-centric pharmaceutical care under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist. What You Will Do: Will assist Pharmacists in the retrieval, processing, preparation, and distribution of medications for patient administration which includes: Accurate preparation of patient medications Accurate and timely delivery of patient specific medications Assist with enrollment and processing of Meds2Beds patient medications Maintain inventory, medication replenishments, and drug stock Assist the Pharmacist with medication or patient care related issues • Assist the Pharmacist with prior authorizations for medications
Requirements
- Education: High School Diploma or GED (required)
- Licensure / Certification: Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPT) provided by the National Health Career Association or Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certification and registration with State Board of Pharmacy (required)
- Experience: Six months of experience in a retail pharmacy or a hospital-based ambulatory pharmacy
