Requirements

PharmD graduate of a U.S. accredited program prior to beginning Post-Graduate Training Program at CVS Health
Pharmacist licensure in the state of Texas within 90 days of hire date

Nice To Haves

Background in community pharmacy practice with interest in organizational leadership
Strong communication and presentation skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
Professionalism and maturity
Ability to travel to clinical sites, training programs, and professional meetings

Responsibilities

Engage in various rotations, gaining exposure to different aspects of retail pharmacy practice.
Undergo training in both clinical and operational aspects of pharmacy management.
Gain hands-on experience in medication therapy management, immunizations, health screenings, and other patient care services.
Deliver patient-centered care.
Collaborate with healthcare teams.
Communicate effectively with patients.
Optimize medication therapy outcomes.
Work closely with experienced preceptors and mentors.
Develop leadership skills, including exposure to pharmacy management, staff development, and operational efficiency within a retail pharmacy setting.
Undertake quality improvement projects aimed at enhancing patient care, operational efficiency, or community outreach.
Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities, such as seminars, workshops, and conferences.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals within the CVS Health network.
Be exposed to expanded services such as point-of-care testing, chronic care management, and other innovative approaches to community healthcare.
Complete a rigorous evaluation process to assess competence and readiness for independent practice.
