About The Position

Responsible for the selection, training, and management of personnel. Ensure employees understand work rules and address inappropriate activities/behaviors immediately and coordinate corrective action plans with department head and/or Human Resources, if appropriate, to ensure consistency and to encourage and maintain a work environment that is inclusive and positive. Communication with management team and conducting monthly employee meetings. Attend all meetings and training as required by the Agency. Direct and delegates work of entire store team including their store leadership team (assistants and key holders). Evaluate employee performance and drive professional development. Comply with all Agency policies, including Donated Goods Retail standard operating procedures (SOPs), and all safety and security policies and procedures. Implement and administer sales strategies including inventory, display, fiscal and personnel scheduling for the purpose of maximizing the resources provided in operating the total retail store. Responsible for leading and trouble-shooting POS system & strategies. Maintain proficiency for tasks required in all workstations. Maintain all company records and reports accurately and in a timely fashion. Oversee production and rotation of merchandise. Ensure quality of merchandise and proper pricing. Accountable for reporting, such as payroll and daily sales reports. Meet store sales goals and operate within budgetary guidelines. Provide excellent customer service and train employees in customer service skills. Oversee the daily maintenance and care of the physical store for the purpose of providing a safe, secure, and orderly facility to the benefit of customers and employees alike. Must ensure that all safety and first aid training requirements and related reporting are met.

Requirements

  • At least three (3) years experience in retail or a similar active industry with more than one-year supervisory responsibilities required
  • Strong math and communication capabilities with leadership skills demonstrated in previous employment and/or position
  • Must be able to adapt and manage change
  • Ability to communicate clearly with customers and other team members, coach/train peers or team members and guide team members with disabilities and the disadvantaged
  • Must have proven computer skills with a proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to use Point-of-Sale (POS), operate Credit Card Draft Capture Terminal and to instruct employees in the proper use of same
  • Operate computerized pricing and inventory system
  • Sufficiently mobile to work in the entire facility and grounds as well as the ability to travel to corporate or other locations, as requested
  • May be required to stand or be in a stationary position for long periods of time
  • Open availability (7 days a week) to work varying schedule one hour prior to store opening and one hour after store closing is required
  • Documentation to satisfy I-9 requirements, ability to pass drug screen, and background check
