This position is part of our Extended Season , requiring availability from early May through the first week of January 2027. Applicants must be able to commit to working during this entire time frame. This position is available for those ages 16+. Job Description: This position provides excellent customer service and encourages merchandise purchases. The position also provides replenishment support and facility upkeep by maintaining appropriate stock levels on the selling floor and keeping locations clean to enhance the guest’s experience. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Must have proficient knowledge of all products/services available for sale to our guests Must be able to perform to standard Merchandise Selling Skills and guest interactions Assists in the training new hires, as needed Operating cash register/POS system in an efficient manner and follow all policy and procedures as outlined by Kentucky Kingdom and Sales Audit Host must ensure all available inventory is stocked on the selling shelves and fully stocked nightly at close and prior to opening. Host must also follow all policy and procedures relating to Inventory Control. Report product shortage to department leadership, as needed Assisting in the maintenance and daily operation of the shop by ensuring location cleanliness and display preparation functions are up to departmental standards Maintain a high degree of attention to detail and concentration to sustain an ordinary routine without constant supervision Represent Kentucky Kingdom in a friendly and professional manner to guests, vendors, suppliers and fellow host Supports all teammates with words, behavior and actions that are in alignment to attain locations budgeted profit and maintain a positive work environment Follows all Merchandise Operational Policies and Procedures effectively and adheres to all Merchandise Safety Guidelines. Reports on any safety issue to their supervisor immediately Supports and exhibits behaviors that are in alignment with our Company Vision, Mission, and Core Values Protect the privacy and security of our guests and coworkers, including PCI compliance Work a flexible schedule as required for maintaining an efficient operation and maximizing sales Present a neat, clean, professional appearance—follows uniform guidelines. Maintain all equipment in proper working condition. Report any issues to leadership, as needed. Must be committed to achieving daily sales goals and goals by period. Computer literate and willing to learn the Pronto POS System. · Ability to handle cash and perform accurate counts/change. Understand and apply pricing information, promotions, and season pass discounts. Ability to prioritize and complete assignments in a timely manner. Ability to maintain a high standard of safety, guest service, and cleanliness. Ability to maintain sensitivity to the needs of guests and take action to meet their needs within company guidelines. Ability to adapt and adjust to changes as needed. Ability to consistently meet park and HFE standards. Ability to comprehend instructions and retain information. Ability to follow visual merchandising techniques by following best stocking practices Must follow departmental attendance policy by consistently reporting for all scheduled shifts on time Ability to cooperate with fellow Hosts and accept frequent changes in work schedule and job assignments in order to facilitate the greatest effectiveness and efficiency in the work area to maximize sales. Participation in all required training sessions Knowledge and acceptance of departmental policies. Able and willing to perform other duties as assigned
