Retail Donations Trailer Attendant
About The Position
Goodwill Industries of Northwest North Carolina is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to providing employment and training services to help people find jobs and achieve financial stability. Employing over 1,100 team members across 52 retail stores, 20 career centers, and dozens of attended donation centers in a 31-county territory, Goodwill offers a wide range of career opportunities. Trailer Attendants serve as the "face of Goodwill" to donors at donation trailer sites, assisting with donations and acknowledging donor support. The role involves physical tasks and working outdoors.
Requirements
- Able to lift incoming donations (up to 50 lbs.)
- Ability to perform physical exertion such as long periods of standing, recurring bending, crouching, reaching, stooping or similar activities
- Ability to frequently lift moderately heavy items up to 35 lbs
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
Nice To Haves
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous customer service experience is preferred
Responsibilities
- Unloading donations from donor vehicles and offering/issuing a receipt for every donor
- Sorting and storing donations in the trailer
- Maintaining cleanliness, order and security of the trailer area at all times
