Retail Donations Trailer Attendant
About The Position
Goodwill Industries of Northwest North Carolina is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to providing employment and training services to help people find jobs and achieve financial stability. As a Trailer Attendant, you will be the primary point of contact for donors at donation trailer sites, assisting them with their donations and acknowledging their support.
Requirements
- Able to lift incoming donations (up to 50 lbs.)
- Work requires some physical exertion such as long periods of standing, recurring bending, crouching, reaching, stooping or similar activities
- May also require frequent lifting of moderately heavy items up to 35 lbs
- For certain positions, frequent climbing of stairs, ladders or step stools may be required
Nice To Haves
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous customer service experience is preferred
Responsibilities
- Unloading donations from donor vehicles and offering/issuing a receipt for every donor
- Sorting and storing donations in the trailer
- Maintaining cleanliness, order and security of the trailer area at all times
