In this job, you'll be working directly with customers - in-person, via phone, and through e-mail - to meet their musical needs by: Selling - instruments, accessories, print music, etc. Renting - band, orchestra & other instruments, accessible to everyone! Enrolling - new students for lessons at the Menchey School of Music! Lesson Studio Coordinator duties include: Cultivating a community of musicians through in-store activities Organizing performance opportunities for students Developing positive relationships with teachers, parents, and students Communicating with staff, teachers, and management regarding promotions and events Assigning billing plans, ensuring payments, assisting with scheduling and maintaining student/teacher accounts Other duties include: Troubleshooting customer issues and finding solutions Maintaining a clean and organized store Opening and closing the store according to policies Cash handling - daily balancing of cash drawer Training on instruments, new products, and sales techniques This position is not a summer/seasonal position. No one looking for seasonal employment will be considered.

Requirements

  • HS Diploma or GED
  • General knowledge of musical instruments and written music with the ability to play at least one musical instrument
  • 6+ months retail, customer service or sales experience
  • Interaction with Others - Oral and Written Communication
  • Music/Instrument Knowledge – Basic understanding of types of musical instruments
  • Technical Literacy – Proficient Computer Skill (MS Office especially Excel)
  • Individual Contributor Competencies - Work Management and Dependability
  • Interpersonal Relations - Social Abilities
  • Job Knowledge - Accurate and Complete Work
