About The Position

As a Retail Area Manager for Verizon products at Best Buy, you’ll support and coordinate the Verizon sales team members in select locations. You’ll be responsible for hiring, training, developing, coaching and supporting up to 25 people across a multi-state territory. You’ll coordinate with store leadership to support the activities, training and engagement of your sales team. In this role, you’ll become a mobile subject matter expert and use your knowledge to support and evaluate direct reports’ effectiveness. What you’ll do Lead the team to meet key performance indicator (KPI) goals Facilitate the hiring process including posting roles and interviewing Host team calls and meetings on a regular cadence Share best practices across direct reports, peers and corporate support Attend off-site multi-day training as needed Support program reporting requirements Basic qualifications Must be at least 18 years old One year of supervisor experience Previous experience in sales, customer service or related field Ability to work successfully as part of a team Ability to work a flexible schedule including holidays, nights and weekends Preferred qualifications One year of consumer electronics industry experience Prior experience setting retail sales goals Proven leadership acumen Group training experience, both in-person and virtually Microsoft suite proficiency, specifically PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel What’s in it for you We’re committed to helping our people thrive at work and at home. Requirements
