About The Position

CO-OP Restaurant & Lounge, located within The Study at University City, is seeking energetic and service-oriented Restaurant Support team members to join their front-of-house team. This role supports overall restaurant operations by assisting servers, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring a seamless, efficient guest experience. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while delivering attentive and guest-focused service. The Study at University City is a 212-room hotel located at the crossroads of the University of Pennsylvania and Drexel University, in the heart of University City, Philadelphia. Designed as a place of discovery and connection, the hotel blends thoughtful hospitality with contemporary residential-inspired guest rooms and welcoming public spaces. The property is home to CO-OP Restaurant & Lounge, a lively 120-seat restaurant and lounge known for spirited hospitality and seasonal menus. The hotel also features 7,000 square feet of meeting and event space, which hosts university functions, corporate meetings, conferences, and private events, all supported by the culinary team.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Team-oriented with a positive and professional attitude.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in English required.
  • Ability to lift or carry items up to 40 pounds.
  • Ability to stand and remain active for extended periods.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous restaurant or customer service experience preferred.
  • A second language is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Support servers by efficiently clearing, cleaning, and resetting tables.
  • Deliver food and beverages to guests accurately and promptly.
  • Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the dining room and service stations.
  • Complete side work throughout the shift, including polishing glassware and silverware, restocking supplies, and maintaining par levels.
  • Assist the host team with greeting and seating guests as needed.
  • Support room service delivery and to-go orders.
  • Maintain awareness of VIP guests and special requests.
  • Follow company policies, procedures, and service standards.
  • Communicate effectively with front-of-house and kitchen teams.
  • Ensure a clean, safe, and organized work environment at all times.
