The Supervisor at Marina Bar & Grill is responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maintaining a positive and efficient working environment. This role involves working closely with staff and management to deliver a memorable dining experience for guests while maintaining high standards of food quality, safety, and cleanliness.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree in hospitality or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of supervisory experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficient in using restaurant management software and point-of-sale systems.
  • Ability to multitask and perform well under pressure.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Ability to work outside in various weather conditions, including cold. heat, humidity, and rain.
  • Capable of standing and walking for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and support restaurant staff, including servers, bartenders, and kitchen personnel.
  • Schedule shifts and manage daily staffing levels to ensure optimal service.
  • Conduct training sessions and continuous coaching to develop team skills and knowledge.
  • Address and resolve staff conflicts or issues in a professional manner.
  • Ensure that all guests receive prompt and courteous service.
  • Handle customer complaints and feedback with a focus on positive resolutions.
  • Maintain a visible presence on the floor to interact with guests and ensure satisfaction.
  • Oversee daily opening and closing procedures.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the kitchen and bar to ensure supplies are adequately stocked.
  • Implement and maintain health and safety standards in compliance with local regulations.
  • Assist in the development and execution of promotional events and special offers.
  • Assist in managing budgets, including labor costs and inventory control.
  • Perform daily financial reconciliations and report any discrepancies.
  • Support the General Manager in achieving financial targets and profitability goals.
