About The Position

Start your day where others start their vacation at Marina Bar & Grill at Sandestin Golf & Beach Resort! As a morning server, you’ll trade office walls for bay views, coffee refills come with sunshine, and your “commute” ends steps from the water. You’ll set the tone for guests’ entire day—welcoming early risers, fueling boaters before they head out, and serving breakfast with a side of fresh coastal air. If you love positive vibes, beautiful scenery, and being done early enough to still enjoy your afternoon, mornings here just hit different.   General Purpose: Become the face of hospitality as you welcome guests with a warm smile at the Marina Bar & Grill, located in the heart of the Sandestin Golf & Beach Resort Marina. Your mission is to elevate the dining experience from the moment guests step in, by presenting them with our carefully curated menu, highlighting specialty items, and ensuring their needs are anticipated and met with the highest standards of service. Engage in our vibrant special events, adding to the unforgettable experiences we offer. This shift starts at 7:00AM.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or GED.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with proficiency in the primary language(s) used in the workplace.
  • A natural ability to provide exceptional service with a friendly demeanor.
  • Physical capability to perform tasks outdoors, stand for extended periods, and handle the physical demands of the dining environment.

Responsibilities

  • Create a welcoming atmosphere through your enthusiastic communication, showing genuine appreciation for our guests.
  • Expertly present our menu, answering queries and offering recommendations to enhance the dining experience.
  • Efficiently relay orders to the kitchen, ensuring timely and accurate service of dishes.
  • Add those final touches to dishes before serving, ensuring they are as pleasing to the eye as to the palate.
  • Stay attentive to guests' needs throughout their meal, ready to fulfill any additional requests.
  • Handle billing and payment with accuracy and courtesy.
  • Maintain the dining area’s pristine condition, preparing tables for the next guests with care.
  • Contribute to the team's success through diligent opening and closing tasks, as directed by management.
  • Apply effective up-selling techniques to enhance guest satisfaction and business success.
  • Embrace additional responsibilities, including closing, bussing, and dishwashing duties, as needed.
