About The Position

Bethesda Country Club is a premier, private country club committed to unparalleled service and exceptional dining experiences. We are seeking a Restaurant Manager to support our Director of Restaurants and help drive daily excellence across all dining venues. This is a hands-on leadership role for a hospitality professional who thrives on the floor, builds strong teams, and delivers memorable member experiences. The Ideal Candidate You are a detail-oriented hospitality leader with a gracious, service-first mindset. You lead from the dining room, adapt quickly to changing needs, and inspire both members and staff through professionalism, mentorship, and consistency. You will oversee all front-of-house operations, providing leadership, insight, and guidance to the service team while collaborating closely with the Director of Restaurants to ensure operational and financial success. What a Typical Shift Looks Like At Bethesda Country Club, our members always come first. A typical shift will consist of: 75% Floor service and direct member interaction 10% Engagement and collaboration with other departments 15% Administrative and office responsibilities

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in a high-volume restaurant environment, with a minimum of 2 years in a leadership role
  • Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and hygiene protocols
  • Working knowledge of HR practices and labor laws
  • Ability to frequently lift up to 40 pounds
  • Flexibility to work the necessary Club hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills
  • Genuine, gracious spirit of hospitality
  • Intellectual curiosity and emotional maturity
  • Passion for developing staff in food, beverage, and service education
  • Ability to work cleanly, stay organized, and lead by example
  • Strong commitment to personal growth
  • Experience with industry-specific software, including Northstar and ForeTees
  • Proven ability to build cohesive teams across front and back of house
  • Adaptable leadership style and business approach
  • Advanced knowledge of food, wine, and service standards
  • Desire to teach, mentor, and develop staff
