Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking a Restaurant Line Cook In this role, you will be responsible for assisting the restaurant Chef in the preparation and completion of food items.   As part of our leadership team, you’ll embody our Promise to Lead with Love—guiding, supporting, and inspiring associates while delivering extraordinary guest experiences. You’ll contribute to the guest experience by preparing high-quality, flavorful dishes with consistency and care, ensuring every meal reflects our standards of excellence

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of progressive experience as a culinary graduate and/or a minimum of 2 -years culinary experience in a hotel restaurant/ food outlet facility or related field
  • State or Local Law may require a certificate upon completion of state-certified proper food handling certification. ServSafe® certification is a plus.
  • A leadership style rooted in collaboration, respect, and service to others

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of food items for all restaurant meals, visually inspecting all food products to be served to ensure they all meet the quality standards set out by departmental and resort management
  • Assist in ensuring cleanliness, sanitation, safety in the kitchen, and storage areas while minimizing waste, maximizing cost/production ratio
  • Ensure that all food and beverage products are consistently prepared and served according to the facility recipes, portioning, cooking, timing, serving, and presentation standards
  • Ensure that all equipment is kept clean and kept in excellent working condition through personal inspection and by following the culinary preventative maintenance programs
  • Fully understand and comply with all federal, state, county and municipal regulations that pertain to health, safety and labor requirements of the kitchen areas, associates and guests
