About The Position

Restaurant Host (Seasonal) | Captain Whidbey Inn Come work at the beautiful and historic Captain Whidbey Inn on Penn Cove! Our culinary team strives to celebrate what the island provides, showcasing local produce and other hand-crafted goods. Vibrant, lively food presented with a 'finer dining' attitude. Bring your own ideas to the table and showcase your talent among a group of like-minded artisans. As the restaurant host, you are the first and last experience the guest will have at the restaurant. The hospitality first mentality begins at the host stand, and you will greet and escort guests to their seats, gather information about special occasions or needs, and be the relay point between serving staff and the kitchen. Requirements

• Prior food service experience preferred
• Necessary State Food Handler’s License(s)

Responsibilities

• Greet and seat guests
• Providing accurate wait times and maintain wait lists
• Manage reservations and coordinate with waitstaff regarding seating
• Maintain flow of service
• Provide support to the team in menu organization and maintenance
