About The Position

Dead Letter is a new restaurant concept from the girl & the fig , located on the Sonoma Square. We are currently hiring Runners to join our opening team. Dead Letter reflects our continued focus on thoughtful food, strong team culture, and a commitment to quality in every part of the guest experience. This is an opportunity to be part of a new kitchen from the beginning and contribute to building a supportive, well-run environment. About the Role We are seeking team members for front-of-house positions who take pride in their work and enjoy being part of a collaborative service team. These roles are essential to daily operations and focus on providing a consistent, welcoming guest experience in a fast-paced environment. Ideal candidates are dependable, team-oriented, and committed to thoughtful, attentive service.

Requirements

Previous restaurant experience preferred
Ability to communicate clearly with both guests and team members
Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
Ability to work efficiently during busy service periods
Positive, team-oriented attitude
California Food Handler Certification (required or ability to obtain)
Ability to stand for extended periods (majority of shift)
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
Ability to carry multiple plates safely and efficiently

Responsibilities

Delivering food from the kitchen to guests in a timely and organized manner
Communicating dish descriptions and answering basic menu questions
Working closely with kitchen and service staff to ensure accurate order delivery
Assisting with maintaining cleanliness and organization of service stations
Supporting servers and bussers to maintain efficient service flow
Helping ensure each guest receives their food promptly and correctly
