Requirements

  • At least two years of experience as a shift leader or supervisor in culinary, dining, or food services
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Friendly, positive attitude with strong leadership skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Strong attention to detail and communication skills
  • Dependable, flexible, and professional in all interactions

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support Front of House team members to ensure smooth daily operations
  • Oversee service in the Anderson Dining Room, The Restaurant, and Dietary Aide staff when serving as Culinary Services Manager on Duty
  • Train new team members, including use of the Cubigo system and resident point system
  • Conduct audits and provide coaching to maintain service excellence
  • Ensure all dining areas meet sanitation and infection control standards
  • Maintain strong visibility in dining areas to build positive rapport with residents and staff
  • Create a safe and respectful environment that protects residents’ health, wellbeing, and rights
  • Complete daily closing paperwork and ensure all operational checklists are followed
  • Address resident concerns promptly, professionally, and accurately
  • Participate in required in-service education and Relias training
  • Adhere to Kendal at Lexington’s Compliance Program and Code of Conduct
