About The Position

At Four Seasons Residence Club Aviara, the Restaurant Catering and Sales Manager proactively seeks out and secures catering and corporate travel business, while also developing innovative menu presentations, compelling sales kits, and tailored proposals for prospective clients.

Requirements

  • Excellent reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language
  • 2-3 years previous catering sales and/or event management experience
  • Strong selling and interpersonal skills
  • High level of creativity and strong attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate effectively with various department staff members within the Residence Club
  • Driving a company vehicle is an essential function of this role, a valid driver's license is necessary

Responsibilities

  • Respond to all telephone and walk in inquiries regarding external events at Seasons Restaurant and other venue spaces at Four Seasons Residence Club Aviara.
  • Supervise the Food & Beverage execution of any Residence Club on-site events.
  • Maintain an active trace/follow-up system on all personal sales calls.
  • Coordinate the sales efforts between sales team and catering needs to ensure proper utilization of function space to yield maximum revenues.
  • Conduct tours of the property with potential clients.
  • Negotiate with clients and achieve maximum revenue/profit potential while satisfying client needs.
  • Comfortably entertain appropriate clients.
  • Finalize all bookings maximizing all revenue potential by upselling in all revenue producing areas.
  • Attend and actively participate in all required meetings.
  • Prepare a monthly booking report.
  • Achieve yearly personal sales booking goals.
  • The ability to be fully versed in event space, facilities, and capabilities of competitive market.
  • Create and review all banquet event orders and daily and weekly banquet sheets to ensure accuracy in content as well as spelling.
  • Provide input on the marketing plan and budget.
  • Oversee BEOs and planning for internal events.
  • Assist in developing and executing projects for assigned market areas to increase catering activity, volume, and profit.
  • Perform other tasks or projects as assigned by Residence Club management and staff.
