The Optiv Advanced Fusion Center (AFC) is seeking a Resource Manager. This role is critical to enabling high‑performance cyber operations, ensuring AFC teams are optimally staffed, aligned to mission priorities, and supported with proactive data‑driven insights. The Resource Manager will partner closely with the AFC leadership, PMO, RMO, and Finance to enhance visibility, improve forecasting accuracy, mature operational processes, and enable efficient delivery of cyber services across threat detection, response, analytics, engineering, and workflow automation. How you'll make an impact: Oversee planning and monitor allocation of AFC operational resources across multidisciplinary cyber teams (SOC, MDR, Threat Intelligence, Detection Engineering, Automation, etc.). Manage complex, multi‑domain, multi‑vendor resourcing needs within the AFC. Collaborate with AFC leadership, PMO, RMO, Delivery, and Operations to ensure optimal staffing to business demand. Maintain visibility into staff availability, skillsets, and future pipeline demand. Facilitate alignment of staffing requests and promote timely fulfillment. Maximize utilization while balancing operational resiliency, on‑call commitments, and workload equity. Partner with AFC Program Management to design operational frameworks, governance models, and reporting structures. Lead operational cadence for AFC resourcing: forecasting cycles, capacity planning, staffing reviews, and risk assessments. Identify operational inefficiencies and drive continual improvement Provide cost modeling, forecasting, and scenario planning to support AFC growth. Support AFC’s long‑range planning by developing headcount forecasts and capacity models. Oversee subcontractor and third‑party resource engagement in coordination with RMO and vendor management. Ensure subcontractor onboarding, rate negotiation, and SOW alignment meet AFC requirements. Build and maintain dashboards to support decision‑making and trend analysis. Analyze upcoming pipeline and contractual obligations to proactively recommend staffing actions. Maintain accurate scheduling data across all AFC personnel, including holiday weeks, training, on‑call schedules, and project assignments. Ensure billable and non‑billable work is appropriately distributed. Coordinate technical screenings and align skill development opportunities with AFC operational needs. Provide data‑driven insights into skills gaps, hiring priorities, and operational trends. Analyze deployment, utilization, availability, and readiness data. Provide AFC leadership with trend analysis, performance metrics, and operational risk indicators. Develop and maintain AFC‑specific operational reporting for staffing, forecasting, and delivery KPIs. Facilitate staffing and interlock meetings across AFC, PMO, and delivery teams. Communicate effectively with sales, delivery practices, and AFC leaders to ensure staffing clarity. Maintain strong partnerships across Optiv functions to ensure AFC operational success. Mentor team members involved in AFC staffing and operations. Support career development planning and skill-mapping activities. Support operational readiness planning, including surge staffing scenarios and incident response augmentation. Maintain confidentiality and support handling of sensitive security operations information. Adapt resource plans based on security event volume, emerging threats, and client priorities.
