The Department of Agriculture, Conservation & Forestry is recruiting for a Resource Management Coordinator for the Maine Natural Areas Program, a Division of the Bureau of Resource Information and Land Use Planning, in Augusta, Maine. The MNAP conducts statewide inventory and monitoring to document the location, condition and status of Maine’s at-risk species and habitats, ecosystems, and landscape scale areas of statewide ecological significance. The program maintains a comprehensive data management system used primarily for planning and protection efforts. MNAP is part of the national network of Natural Heritage programs (NatureServe) and serves a wide variety of users including federal, state and local agencies, consultants, environmental groups, non-government organizations, private landowners, and the public.
