About The Position

ASFC Federal AFSS is seeking a Full-Time Resource Analyst (Financial Analyst) to support a NASA contract in Greenbelt, MD. This senior-level role provides comprehensive resources support to the Earth Sciences Division (Code 610) offices, focusing on complex functions such as process improvement, tracking mechanism development, trend analysis, budget, and formulation. The position requires full-time on-site presence at Goddard Space Flight Center.

Requirements

A working knowledge of SharePoint, Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint is required.
Must have excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Able to work with all levels.
Must have the ability to balance multiple priorities and respond / produce quality work efficiently with short deadline actions in a fast-paced environment.
The individual must also possess a strong sense of ethics, discretion, and professional sophistication.
Ability to communicate project status and issues to customers and leadership as they arise.
May be responsible for taking direction from leadership and distributing information to team members, stakeholders, and leadership quickly and efficiently.
Individual must meet government NAC and citizenship/permanent residency requirements for access to NASA GSFC.
Extensive background investigation will be performed as a requirement of the job.
Bachelor’s degree and 2-4 or more years of professional experience or 6-8 or more years of related experience in lieu of degree.

Nice To Haves

Competency in the GSFC financial systems, including SAP, BOBj, FCS, PAM, RBet and MAPS is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide senior-level resource support to the Mesoscale Atmospheric Processes Laboratory/Code 612 of the Earth Sciences Division-Sciences and Exploration Directorate.
Provide all aspects of Resources Analysis Support to the Laboratory (Code 612) at the Goddard Space Flight Center.
Create, track, and maintain budgets.
Create and maintain tracking workbooks and spreadsheets.
Plan and track workforce estimates and actuals.
Monitor and analyze costs and variances for contracts, cooperative agreements, grants etc.
Review and report on spending plans versus actuals by participating in monthly status reviews with Laboratory scientists and Resources managers.
Review proposals to ensure all budgets are correct and accurate.
Assist as needed in proposal preparation.
Complete action items and calls as they arise, such as Planning, Programming, Budget and Execution (PPBE), variance analysis, and mid-year reviews.
