About The Position

Tamarack Resort is seeking a Resort Grounds and Transportation Manager to oversee our transportation, guest and employee parking, and resort grounds operations (including snow removal for parking areas and resort-owned buildings). This leadership role manages a team of year-round and seasonal employees to ensure safe, reliable, and guest-friendly transportation and parking, while also maintaining the resort’s grounds to the highest standards of cleanliness and curb appeal. The ideal candidate has proven supervisory experience, knowledge of transportation and parking operations, and the ability to lead teams that shape the first and last impressions of Tamarack for thousands of guests each season. Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in transportation, parking, or facilities/grounds management, preferably in a resort, hospitality, or municipal setting.
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills, with experience managing year-round and seasonal teams of 5–20 or more.
  • Knowledge of parking operations, transportation systems, snow removal best practices, and grounds maintenance equipment.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and vendor relationships.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments and resolve guest issues with professionalism.
  • Flexibility to work early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays as required by resort operations.

  • CDL license (or ability to obtain within 6 months) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate employee bus routes and public-facing resort shuttle services.
  • Oversee fleet allocation across Resort based upon seasonal business needs, and fleet status.
  • Develop transportation schedules, monitor ridership trends, and adjust routes for efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, regulatory, and maintenance standards for vehicles and drivers.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for transportation vendors and drivers.
  • Oversee guest and employee parking across the resort year-round, with special emphasis on winter peak operations.
  • Supervise and coordinate seasonal parking attendants and traffic directors to ensure safe, orderly, and efficient traffic flow.
  • Create and implement guest-focused parking plans that prioritize a positive arrival and departure experience.
  • Work with resort leadership on signage, communication, and wayfinding strategies to improve ease of navigation and reduce guest frustration.
  • Partner with guest services and security to resolve parking-related issues quickly and professionally.
  • Lead year-round groundskeeping activities, including mowing, debris removal, tree removal (outside mountain operations), landscaping projects, and seasonal plantings.
  • Ensure resort grounds present a clean, attractive, and welcoming appearance for guests, employees, and homeowners.
  • Coordinate with resort leadership on special projects, events, and seasonal enhancements.
  • Plan and oversee snow removal operations for parking areas and resort-owned buildings only (excluding resort roads and mountain terrain).
  • Manage snow removal schedules and staff assignments to ensure safe and accessible parking and building access during winter operations.
  • Maintain and oversee use of snow removal equipment specific to these areas.
  • Recruit, train, and manage a team of 5–8 year-round employees, plus seasonal parking and transportation staff.
  • Develop seasonal staffing plans, including hiring and overseeing large groups of seasonal employees.
  • Monitor budgets, manage equipment needs, and oversee vendor contracts as assigned.
  • Establish and enforce safety and service standards to ensure operations reflect Tamarack’s mission of delivering memorable guest experiences.
  • Develop and manage annual operating and capital budgets with accuracy and fiscal responsibility.
  • Forecast labor, equipment, and supply need to maintain quality while managing costs.
  • Prepare reports, maintain accurate records of grounds and transportation activities, and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Work closely with the Resort Leadership and Ownership to align goals and priorities.
  • Act as an ambassador for the resort, ensuring positive relationships with resort guests, staff, and the broader Tamarack community.
  • Ensure all operations adhere to OSHA, EPA, and state/federal safety standards.
  • Promote environmental stewardship and sustainability across all grounds and transportation practices.
