About The Position

As a Residential Weatherization Technician with Synergy3, you will contribute to energy conservation by conducting home energy audits , advising clients on improvements, and ensuring energy-saving measures are effectively implemented. You'll work closely with our team to provide residential solutions that promote sustainability and comfort for homeowners.

Requirements

  • Experience : 0 to 1 year of relevant experience in the industry.
  • Education : High school diploma or GED required.
  • Flexibility : Ability to work weekends when needed.
  • Communication : Excellent verbal skills with a positive attitude, comfortable with in-home consultations.
  • Adaptability : Strong ability to learn new skills quickly and adapt to changing conditions.
  • License : Valid driver's license and reliable transportation, with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold.
  • Capacity to sit, stand, walk , kneel, crouch, and crawl for extended periods, including working in crawl spaces and under mobile homes.
  • Frequent use of hand tools , power tools , and climbing ladders up to 3 stories high.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

  • BPI Certification : Preferred, but training will be provided to obtain certification within 3-6 months

Responsibilities

  • Energy Audits : Conduct 100+ energy audits annually , managing a steady workflow of 30+ active projects.
  • Weatherization Tasks : Implement key weatherization measures such as air sealing and insulation installation.
  • Energy Testing : Perform essential tests, including blower door tests , static pressure assessments, and evaluating heating system efficiency.
  • Client Education : Educate homeowners about energy-saving opportunities and health & safety concerns within their home.
  • Work Order Management : Write work order specifications for other team members and inspect completed work for quality and adherence to specifications.
  • Documentation : Accurately document audit findings in both field and office formats.
  • Energy-Saving Products : Install simple energy-saving devices like low-flow fixtures and energy-efficient light bulbs.
