About The Position

Under the direction of the Peoria program Director, the Residential Supervisor oversees the day-to-day operations of community residential sites, ensuring a safe, supportive, and enriching environment for individuals served. This role includes supervising staff, supporting individualized implementation strategies (Flourish Plans), and participating in leadership and administrative activities. The Residential Supervisor plays a critical role in promoting the safety, wellbeing, and personal growth of program participants.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Valid Illinois Driver’s License
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
  • Professional and tactful in dealing with others, including program participants, families, and external agencies.
  • Ability to foster positive staff morale and maintain strong team relationships.
  • Capable of planning, organizing, and implementing high-quality care programs.
  • Effective in communicating procedures, policies, and expectations to diverse stakeholders.
  • Willingness to seek and apply innovative methods to improve practices.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership abilities.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Ability to lift over 40 pounds from floor to waist unassisted.
  • Ability to push/pull up to 75 pounds.
  • Ability to perform deep knee squats.
  • Ability to push wheelchairs weighing 200 pounds or more.
  • Must remain in a stationary position (standing/sitting) for extended periods.
  • Must be able to drive and operate motor vehicles.
  • Requires physical activity including balancing, stooping, crouching, crawling, kneeling, climbing stairs, reaching, grasping, and repetitive motions.

Nice To Haves

  • Training and knowledge in behavioral sciences preferred
  • Supervisory experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provides comprehensive oversight for two or more 24-hour or intermittent community residential sites. Includes on-call responsibilities, at least two late-night shifts per week, and two weekends per month.
  • Reviews ILC applications and conducts interviews; makes recommendations for hiring, onboarding, promotion, termination, and evaluation.
  • Assigns and manages staff schedules and rotations.
  • Responsible for ensuring a clean and safe environment for program participants and employees; which includes completing necessary checklists and initiating any necessary maintenance requests
  • Provides for the full and consistent on-going implementation of each participant's implementation strategy (flourish plans) and, if applicable, behavior support plans
  • Instructs and carries out written implementation strategies and behavior support plans
  • Encourages individuals to engage in community activities and events, individually and on a small group basis
  • Monitors the implementation of medical and special dietary needs of each program participant across all assigned home(s)
  • Works collaboratively with the staff at Community Day Services and/or Supportive Employment in seeking growth for program participants
  • Functions as a member of the Trinity leadership team; is actively involved in the network and organization-wide committees, task groups, and annual leadership retreat
  • Participates in on-site Pre-service (Orientation) and other required in-person trainings in the New Lenox area
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
