About The Position

The Residential Program Manager provides clinical and operational oversight of the Vita Nova residential treatment program. This role supervises counselors and case managers to ensure delivery of high-quality, trauma-informed, and compliant behavioral health services. The Residential Program Manager supports program operations including clinical services, treatment planning, crisis response, and coordination of care within a structured residential environment.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in social work, counseling, psychology or related field preferred, with the ability to complete, preferred.
  • Combination of education, experience and licensure accepted.
  • Active license preferred; must be eligible for a license (supervision complete) and obtain license within one year upon hire.
  • Must have a CDC II/ CDC S; or must obtain within 3 years of hire.
  • Experience in substance abuse or mental health field including: Delivering direct individual and group services.
  • Conduct assessments utilizing the DSM-5 and ASAM criteria.
  • Create individualized treatment plans addressing mental health and substance use issues.
  • Treatment team participation.
  • Crisis intervention skills.
  • Case management.
  • Adhere to ethical guidelines of related profession.
  • Maintain CEUs needed for licensure and continued professionalism.
  • Establish and maintain therapeutic boundaries.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills and fluid use of electronic communication tools.
  • Administer UAs and breathalyzers as needed.
  • Participate as part of an interdisciplinary team to address clinical concerns relating to the clients.
  • Receive direct supervision from eligible supervisors as qualified by State standards of the profession.

Responsibilities

  • Provides leadership and oversight of Vita Nova residential clinical operations.
  • Supervises counselors and case managers to ensure competency, compliance, and quality of care.
  • Provides clinical supervision and mentorship to staff consistent with professional standards and organizational policies.
  • Facilitates residential clinical meetings and interdisciplinary team meetings.
  • Conducts or reviews clinical interviews, assessments, and ASAM level-of-care determinations.
  • Ensures individualized treatment planning and treatment plan reviews are completed in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Provides or supports evidence-based therapeutic interventions including individual, group, and collateral sessions when needed.
  • Supports staff in managing client crises, behavioral health emergencies, and safety concerns within the residential environment.
  • Ensures clients receive appropriate referrals to community providers and support services when indicated.
  • Oversees coordination of care with medical providers, outpatient programs, housing services, and other community partners.
  • Monitors staff documentation and billing compliance in OPUS, including DAP note standards.
  • Ensures adherence to State regulations, licensing requirements, and behavioral health standards.
  • Supports client engagement in treatment programming including groups, recovery activities, and life-skills development.
  • Assists with discharge planning and transition to appropriate levels of care.
  • Promotes a safe, structured, and recovery-oriented residential environment.
  • Maintains program records, reports, and required agency documentation.
  • Participates in clinical supervision and organizational training as required.
  • Performs related duties as assigned.
