Job Title: Residential Program Director Division/Program: Joshua Tree: Morongo Oasis Crisis Residential Treatment Starting Compensation: 85,000.00 USD Per Year Working Location: Joshua Tree, CA Working Hours/Shift: AM Shift JOB SUMMARY: This position has primary responsibility for implementing, directing, and supervising the Program Coordinator, Recovery Counselors, Peer Counselors, Household Coaches and Resource Specialists who provide case management, counseling, and rehabilitation and activity groups. Supports Clinical Director, as needed. The Program Director shall be on the premises the number of hours necessary to manage and administer the program component of the facility in compliance with applicable laws and regulations. The Program Director shall continue operations and carry out Administrator responsibilities during any absence of the Administrator. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Applicants must have attained the age of 18 years of age Employment is contingent on: Successfully completing a pre-employment Health Screening and a TB clearance Receipt of “clear” or approved Live Scan results and Criminal Background Clearance Education Master’s degree in social work, Psychology, or Marriage, Family and Child Counseling from an accredited college or university. Or Graduation from an accredited school of licensed vocational nursing or psychiatric technology required. Experience Two (2) years direct service experience with the mentally ill, preferably adults. Two (2) years supervisory experience in a health care setting. License or Certification California Registered Intern Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Marriage, Family and Child Counselor (LMFT) preferred. Or Valid California LVN or LPT license. Valid California Driver’s License. First Aid certification from persons qualified by agencies including but not limited to the American Red Cross. Core Competencies Demonstrated ability to engage clients and families. Demonstrated understanding of psychiatric illness and its treatment as appropriate for Scope of Practice. Demonstrated understanding of Company’s Compliance Program and Code of Ethics. Demonstrated understanding of laws and regulation affecting behavioral health clinical care. Ability to perform clear and concise documentation including use of the EMR where applicable. Ability to drive to and from clients’ homes in personal vehicle if applicable. Demonstrated understanding of how to behave in a safe manner while seeing clients in the community or facility as applicable. Demonstrated ability to recognize dangerous behavior by clients and intervene as appropriate. SAFETY PRECAUTIONS REQUIRED Demonstrated use of Professional Assault Crisis Training (Pro-ACT). Demonstrated use of Standard Precautions.
