About The Position

The Residential Services Program Director is an intermediate management role responsible for implementing the organization’s mission, vision, and strategic priorities into actionable plans and measurable results. This role provides support to the 90-day residential program managers and is a bridge between the programs and the Senior Management Team. The Residential Services Program Director partners closely with program managers and the Senior Management Team to achieve an excellent standard of client care and staff support.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Public Health, Human Services, or a related field; Associate degree, plus five years of equivalent experience may be considered in place of a BA degree.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in the community mental healthcare/substance use disorder/HIV-AIDS or integrated healthcare setting. A minimum of three (3) years of supervisory and/or management responsibilities of clinical staff.
  • Self-motivated and directed, demonstrate strong relationship-building skills, have experience with infrastructure development and hold a high value for diversity.
  • Demonstrated effective management and leadership skills with diverse populations.
  • Ability to establish collaborative partnerships with supervisees, colleagues, and community organizations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge and understanding of trauma-informed and other evidence based therapeutic principles/practices.
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and ability to focus attention on workflow processes, procedures, budgetary guidelines, and documentation/productivity standards.
  • Effective time management and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Must be available to work flexible hours occasionally – including possible nights and weekends.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft products required
  • Exhibit exemplary customer service, compassion, and care in the execution of all duties and interactions.

Responsibilities

  • Provide supervision and support to Program Managers, including weekly supervision and evaluation.
  • Work with the Intake and Placement Department to maintain contracted units of service.
  • Serves as the Administrator for all CCL licensed programs.
  • Plans, organizes, and directs clinical services of 90-day programs.
  • Responsible for the administrative function of 90-day programs.
  • Works closely with Senior Management Team and Program Managers to adhere to program budgets and needed supplies.
  • Ensures program functions smoothly within the larger behavioral health system by building and maintaining relationships with community partners.
  • Oversees documentation by clinical staff in collaboration with agency Quality Improvement and performs periodic audits of charts to ensure adherence to licensing and certification standards.
  • Establishes and maintains a recovery culture and philosophy within the program.
  • Prepare and submit monthly clinical status reports for all programs to the Senior Director of Clinical Services.
  • Participates in hiring, orientation and annual performance evaluations of program managers.
  • Provides crisis response and intervention, including rotating on-call and after hours assistance.
  • Promote agency mission, purpose, and values in relationships with internal and external providers.
  • Participate in any managers meetings with Social Programs to foster a wrap around services environment.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
