About The Position

We are looking for a dedicated plumbing mechanic with 3+ years’ experience in residential service and installation. Journeyman's license a plus but not required. This will be a full-time position with a weekend coverage schedule: either Wednesday through Sunday, or Saturday through Wednesday shift. Requirements

Effective oral communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to complete projects unsupervised and unassisted
Excellent problem-solving skills
Attention to detail and ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously
Proficiency in basic mathematics and conversation of measurements
Comply with all applicable standards, policies, or procedures, such as PPE, safety procedures and/or the maintenance of a clean work area
Basic mathematics and conversion of measurements
Must have a valid driver's license
Be at least 18 years of age
Ability to do physical labor including lifting associated with profession
Ability to work in all weather
Workers must be punctual and reliable

Responsibilities

Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems in residential and commercial applications
Knowledge of the mechanical operation of equipment such as pumps, boilers, water heaters, and other plumbing components
Ability to read plans, drawings, specifications, and work orders to determine work requirements and sequence of repairs and/or installations
Performs preventative maintenance work as required
Skilled in the use of hand and power tools used in the plumbing trade
Knowledge of plumbing codes, safety regulations, and safety practices
Familiarity with PVC, CPVC, PEX, cast iron, and copper
