Residential Plumber - Full-Time Weekend Shift

About The Position

We are looking for a dedicated plumbing mechanic with 3+ years’ experience in residential service and installation. Journeyman's license a plus but not required. This will be a full-time position with a weekend coverage schedule: either Wednesday through Sunday, or Saturday through Wednesday shift. Requirements

  • Effective oral communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to complete projects unsupervised and unassisted
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Proficiency in basic mathematics and conversation of measurements
  • Comply with all applicable standards, policies, or procedures, such as PPE, safety procedures and/or the maintenance of a clean work area
  • Basic mathematics and conversion of measurements
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Ability to do physical labor including lifting associated with profession
  • Ability to work in all weather
  • Workers must be punctual and reliable
  • 3+ years’ experience

Responsibilities

  • Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems in residential and commercial applications
  • Knowledge of the mechanical operation of equipment such as pumps, boilers, water heaters, and other plumbing components
  • Ability to read plans, drawings, specifications, and work orders to determine work requirements and sequence of repairs and/or installations
  • Performs preventative maintenance work as required
  • Skilled in the use of hand and power tools used in the plumbing trade
  • Knowledge of plumbing codes, safety regulations, and safety practices
  • Familiarity with PVC, CPVC, PEX, cast iron, and copper
