About The Position

Reporting to the Director of Programs, the Coordinator for the oversight of the day-to-day operations of two or more residential programs serving people with developmental disabilities. The Coordinator is also responsible for providing leadership, vision, and direction in the following areas: client services; program development; fiscal management, regulatory compliance; physical plant management; and program staffing.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Bachelor's degree from four year college or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 – 5 Five years supervisory experience in a residential program
  • Strong leadership, team-building, and communication skills
  • Expertise in person-centered care and knowledge of best practices for supporting individuals with IDD

Responsibilities

  • Participate and attend required meetings such as quarterly medical and clinical meetings and as needed, Day Program and Life Plan meetings. Ensure recommendations are occurring as prescribed.
  • Along with the Residence Manager, ensure that programs meet and exceed all regulatory standards and that program staff follow all state and federal regulations, as well as HeartShare’s internal policies and procedures.
  • Ensure that programs satisfactorily pass both internal HeartShare surveys and OPWDD surveys/audit and that no 45 or 60 day letters are issued.
  • Manage review of approvals the Human Rights Committee (HRC), ensure monthly check of client records to determine expiring approvals, submit completed packages and check for approvals from HRC as needed. In accordance with the agency’s policy, secure documents for submission including but not limited to Scripts, Informed Consent Forms, PPT sign offs etc.
  • Along with the Program Manager, review Pcare daily to ensure that staff are documenting services as needed.
  • Reconcile clients’ PA accounts bi-weekly and scan appropriate documents such as ledgers, receipts and bank statements to SharePoint monthly. As needed, complete bank withdrawals and ensure proper security and recording of funds. As needed, make requests from DOFM in accordance with the agency’s policy and process.
  • As needed, receive SODs from the QA department and disseminate to PPT. Develop the POCA and submit to the Director of Programs (DOP) for approval and ensure submission of approvals to QA. Complete observations as appropriate, provide timely feedback and completion of the form for submission.
  • Hire, supervise and develop direct reports and staff.
  • Participate in interview screenings, hiring events and job fairs.
  • Approve staff evaluations by Assistant Coordinators based on the agency policies.
