Requirements

  • High School degree / GED required; Associate degree preferred
  • One (1) year experience preferred in a supervisory role or have participated in Sunrise’s Department Leadership in Training (DLIT) program
  • One (1) year experience preferred in assisted living/long term care, full service, hospitality and or skilled nursing industries
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities
  • Ability to perform tasks with frequent interruptions
  • Competent in organizational, time management skills
  • Demonstrates good judgment, problem solving and decision making skills
  • As applicable, all Sunrise team members who drive a Sunrise vehicle must review and sign the Driver job description and understand the key essential duties for safety and regulatory compliance
  • Ability to work weekends, evenings and flexible hours

Responsibilities

  • Plan, develop, organize, implement, and evaluate the community’s independent living activity programs.
  • Work with the Resident Association Board and assist the Resident Association committee’s in activity programs to support independent living.
  • Assist residents based on their social, psychological, and physical needs.
  • Assist residents as they transition into the independent community through the move in process, after a health care stay, or time away from the community.
  • Responsible for operations of various departments as assigned by Supervisor to include but not limited to: security, transportation, concierge.
  • Provide a smooth functioning, efficient operation through timely and effective resolution of grievances from residents, families, visitors, and team members.
  • Monitor the outcomes of Resident Services activities by evaluating for an enhanced quality of life.
  • Assist with reporting any incidents per the Sunrise and regulatory requirement for residents, families, and team members.
  • Assist residents in conjunction with the sales department for moving within the community.
  • Monitor the emergency system for the Independent Residents in coordination with the General Manager/Executive Director and other applicable departments to ensure it is updated for accurate response.
  • Supervise all aspects of the concierge department and their performance expectations.
  • Complete all required paperwork for the BOC/Controller for month end billing.
  • Work with the clinic/wellness department, when applicable, to ensure all aspects of the Independent Residents health is maintained in the event of an emergency.
  • Maintain compliance in assigned required training and all training required by state/province or other regulating authorities as applicable to this role to ensure that Sunrise standards are always met.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
