Columbia Cottage is a premier assisted living facility that offers ten levels of care and a warm, home-like setting for our elderly residents. We are a thriving, unique community of residents, staff, and volunteers who are dedicated to supporting each other in living each day to its fullest. Our team is passionate about delivering the highest quality of care while taking the time to learn each resident's personal preferences and desires in order to help them get the most out of their daily life at the Cottages. As a Resident Services Director, you play a crucial role in our assisted living cottage. Along with our managing director, you are responsible for the overall welfare of the patients in our care, and you operate as the managerial designee in the director's absence. Among a variety of health care management duties, you oversee the staff, manage schedules, requisition supplies, ensure that the medical records are maintained, complete reporting requirements, and implement policies and procedures. You oversee and manage caregivers, medication technicians, and Nurses to ensure that the residents are comfortable and well taken care of. You assist with the budget and the marketing of our facility as well. Throughout the day, you enjoy the opportunity to make connections with the residents and their families. Whenever a concern arises, you address the issue in a timely manner. When necessary, you report to the residents' families or their physicians. You also keep the managing director in the loop. Together, you interview prospective residents as well as their families and then coordinate their move-in or move-out. With such a variety of managerial tasks to accomplish, your day is busy but fulfilling. You love putting your skills as an RN or an LPN to good use as you help our residents feel at home!
